Hello fellow enthusiasts.
Time has flown by since sale #1, if you've been waiting for news then apologies, we just needed to lie down in a dark room for a bit.
Our results have at least been posted on the website for a while - everyone wants to know what went and for how much as soon as possible after a sale (including us, as we monitor the competition) - so we know there's nothing more annoying that having to wait for this information.
We were bowled over by how things went on the day(s) and by the response we had from sellers and buyers alike, but no need to take our word for it, here are the reactions from the press, firstly Richard Hudson-Evans writing on the CCFS website:

Whilst this is both generous and satisfying, we are still very much the new kids on the block with a lot to prove of course. However, we've learned a huge amount for the next sale and having gone through the process once from start to finish now we've got a great foundation on which to build.
Our next sale will be on Sunday and Monday 24th and 25th July, so there'll be opportunities to come and 'try before you buy' on a weekend or a weekday, depending on your circumstances.

A potential buyer told us that for him the event was "like a cross between a garden party, a concours and an auction - and something I've never seen before." And whilst we had never thought of it quite like this ourselves, it does seem to sum things up quite nicely.
